This month, Japanese gaming company SEGA unveiled a new digital service called the SEGA Account. While specifics about what this service entails are still somewhat unclear, it seems that players will be able to reap some loyalty benefits when they link their preferred platform with this service. Essentially, as they play their favorite SEGA games, they can collect exclusive rewards.
Based on the official announcement, having a SEGA Account offers users special privileges when playing SEGA and ATLUS games as well as utilizing their online services. Moreover, account holders will be kept informed about the latest news, updates, and exciting opportunities related to any SEGA/ATLUS games, events, or promotions.

On January 21st, 2025, SEGA introduced their SEGA Account service which has been attracting interest due to its enticing features. Essentially, by creating an account profile, users can “take full advantage of SEGA’s online services and reap numerous benefits.” What’s more, it’s open to all and doesn’t cost a dime!
To take advantage of this offer, all you need to do is navigate to the official SEGA Account site and sign up for a new account. Once registered, proceed to connect your accounts across multiple gaming platforms such as PC through Epic Games Store and Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. If you complete these steps by March 7th, 2025, you’ll be rewarded with an exclusive in-game bonus for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, set to release on February 21st, 2025.
Starting from February 17th until March 7th, 2025, owners of the account will receive the code for the Kazuma Kiryu Special Outfit DLC in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. However, certain features such as the ability to review all games played when linked to a preferred gaming platform are not yet available with this service.
