See Battlefield 6’s Biggest Launch Map In Action

Players testing the early version of Battlefield 6 said the maps felt cramped, but the full game actually features much larger environments. Now, two of those expansive maps are being showcased.

Mirak Valley is the largest map available at the launch of Battlefield 6, and it feels incredibly expansive. Located in Tajikistan, the map combines wide-open areas with tighter, more confined spaces for varied combat. Because it’s so large, players can utilize a range of vehicles to get around and engage in battles.

The video also showcases Battlefield 6’s new game mode, Escalation. It’s similar to Conquest, but instead of simply capturing points, players fill a meter by controlling zones. When the meter is full, a team scores a point, and the meter resets. The first team to three points wins. What makes Escalation unique is that after each point is scored, some capture points disappear, shrinking the battlefield and increasing the intensity of the fighting.

Operation Firestorm is another expansive map, and it’s a reimagining of the popular Battlefield 3 map with the same name. The map takes place in an oil field, and you can watch gameplay footage in the video linked below.

Battlefield 6 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC starting October 10th. A separate battle royale game mode is also being created and is expected to be released around October 28th.
