Sea of Stars, created by Sabotage Studio and now available on mobile devices thanks to Playdigious, will launch on iOS and Android on April 7th!
Sea of Stars centers on Valere and Zale, two heroes destined to become Solstice Warriors. They must combine their unique Sun and Moon abilities – known as Eclipse Magic – to defeat the terrifying monsters created by a villain called The Fleshmancer, who is the only one capable of stopping them.
With a beautiful soundtrack featuring original music by acclaimed composer Yasunori Mitsuda (known for Chrono Trigger) alongside Sabotage Studio’s Eric W. Brown, Sea of Stars is shaping up to be one of the best games you’ll play this year.
Get ready! You can now pre-register on Google Play or pre-order on the App Store and save 10% at launch – that’s only $8.99 instead of the regular $9.99!
Sea of Stars features
The game features exciting turn-based battles with well-timed hits, powerful combo attacks, and a unique strategic system called ‘locks’. Battles happen seamlessly within the game world – you won’t find random fights, loading screens, or repetitive grinding.
Move freely and fluidly through the world! Swim, climb, jump, and pull yourself up ledges with a movement system inspired by platforming games, letting you explore beyond traditional, restricted movement patterns.
We’ve created a stunning world for our game using advanced lighting techniques. Our unique rendering system lets us achieve incredible visual effects, going beyond what’s typically seen in 2D pixel art games.
Sea of Stars is a captivating adventure filled with memorable moments – it can be grand and exciting, lighthearted and funny, or deeply touching. Like classic RPGs, it explores themes of adventure and friendship, but with the surprising and creative touches you’d expect from the developers at Sabotage.
Okay, so this game really lets you live in its world. I’m talking full immersion – you can sail the seas, cook up meals, go fishing, and even chill at a tavern where they have live music and this awesome tabletop game called ‘Wheels’. It’s clearly inspired by those classic old games I grew up with, but they’ve updated everything to feel really smooth and modern. It’s a cool mix of nostalgia and fresh gameplay.
