Scrubs Cast Reunites in First Trailer for ABC Revival

I’m so excited! After all these years, Scrubs is finally coming back to TV with new episodes! It’s been way too long since 2010, but ABC is bringing back the original cast for what they’re calling season 10. The revival is set to premiere on February 25, 2026, and I can’t wait to see what J.D., Turk, and Elliot are up to!

According to Collider, the official Scrubs Instagram recently shared a 30-second trailer showing what’s happened at Sacred Heart Hospital 16 years later. The clip features John “J.D.” Dorian (Zach Braff), Christopher Turk (Donald Faison), and Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke) confidently walking through the hospital, set to the song “Big Dawg” by Quise.B. J.D. playfully announces, “I’m back, baby,” while a group of new interns look on, clearly confused.

Turk suggests trying a new tactic, and Elliot proposes modeling their approach after Dr. Cox. J.D. playfully addresses the new interns, shouting, “Listen up, newbies!” At that moment, Dr. Cox appears from behind a curtain, sarcastically commenting, “Really super start there, scooter.” Carla quickly defends J.D., telling Dr. Cox to “Leave Bambi alone.” J.D. then happily declares, “It’s good to be back.”

Fans are Excited About the New Scrubs

As a huge Scrubs fan, I was so excited to see everyone reacting to the revival news on Instagram! One user, dr.bondarev, shared a really touching story about how Scrubs actually inspired them to become a doctor when they were in school – it made me so happy to hear! Another fan, caspa2019, noticed something I was thinking too – the hallway in the teaser looks exactly like the one from Sacred Heart Hospital. It’s great to see so much excitement and attention to detail!

The reboot of Scrubs was officially announced in late 2024, and we’ve been getting consistent updates ever since. Recently, new cast members were revealed. Scott will be joining the show as Nurse Francois Dubois, while currently starring as the genie in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway. Dubois is described as a young, critical, and lively nurse who works closely with Nurse Pippa. The two nurses are known for running their department efficiently and according to their own rules. X Mayo will play Nurse Pippa Raymond. She’s appeared in Freakier Friday, American Auto, and Abbot Elementary. Her character is a sarcastic and gossipy nurse who is also skilled at her job and, like Dubois, prefers to keep things running smoothly.

As a huge Scrubs fan, I’m so excited to hear about the revival! Along with the original cast, some fantastic new faces are joining the show, including Vanessa Bayer from Saturday Night Live, Joel Kim Booster who I loved in Fire Island, and Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi, and Amanda Morrow. Zach Braff has said it’ll feel like the Scrubs we all remember and love, but also updated for today’s world, which sounds perfect!

Zach Braff mentioned the writing team for the show includes both new, diverse voices and some of the talented original writers from Scrubs, and he believes this mix will be key to making the revival successful. Ed Begley Jr. (Faison) added that the show’s central story and beloved characters still resonate with audiences, no matter how much the show has changed over its nine seasons, and people are eager to reconnect with them.

Scrubs will premiere on ABC on Feb. 25, 2026.
