According to a post by @kia_asamiya on X, the crossover, titled Silent Möbius x Avengers, is expected to launch in spring 2026. Screen Rant notes that this project uniquely blends Marvel’s popular superheroes with characters from a well-known Japanese sci-fi series, creating a rare combination of Western superhero stories and classic anime. It promises to be a significant event for fans of both manga and Marvel.
According to reports, Marvel’s head editor, C.B. Cebulski, has promised fans that Kia Asamiya will both write and draw the upcoming crossover event. Screen Rant explains that Asamiya’s work won’t just be a cameo; it will genuinely build on the world of Silent Möbius. His artistic style will set the mood, combining the manga’s darker, futuristic feel with the upbeat tone of Marvel’s characters.
The upcoming crossover between Silent Möbius and the Avengers will reportedly only be available in the United States. While a wider release might seem logical, limiting it to the US suggests strong belief that the combination of superhero and manga fans in that market will be enough to make the release a success. Because comics and manga have a lot in common in terms of how they’re made and what people enjoy about them, there’s a good chance there’s a dedicated audience waiting for Silent Möbius x Avengers.
Marvel’s History With Anime and Manga
The upcoming Silent Möbius x Avengers collaboration isn’t new territory for artist Kia Asamiya, who has worked with Marvel Comics before. This project will be Marvel’s first major anime event in 2026, but they’ve created anime adaptations of their comics in the past. Marvel is working with Studio Trigger and Madhouse to bring their stories to life in animated form.
