It’ll feel strange seeing someone else seated next to Jenna Bush Hager once Hoda Kotb departs from the Today show. However, it’ll be particularly unusual to see Scarlett Johansson, given that the Black Widow actress will be stepping in to co-host with Bush Hager for an entire week starting January 21st. In her interview on Today on January 7th, Jenna shared that she has “many exciting plans” with Johansson. Even Hoda, who’s leaving on January 10th, expressed her support, commenting that the two women have a great rapport. As for why Scarlett Johansson might choose to host daytime television: Perhaps she wanted a hosting desk of her own to match her husband’s?
Johansson is set to be the newest, unexpected visitor appearing on “Today with Jenna & Friends,” which was recently renamed. Starting from January 13, Taraji P. Henson, Eva Longoria, and Keke Palmer will each take turns hosting the show for a week. The length of time these celebrity hosts will stay is uncertain, but during the January 6 broadcast, Bush Hager referred to it as “our month of wonder women.” However, Gal Gadot has not been confirmed yet as a host, at least not so far.
