The 13th edition of the festival will commence with the ‘EbMaster’ award being presented to Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” for their exceptional work. This prestigious award will be bestowed upon them by star Caleb McLaughlin.

The upcoming festival at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta from February 5th to 7th will showcase programming from various popular networks such as 20th Television, Adult Swim, Apple TV+, BET, Hallmark, HBO, Hulu, Max, National Geographic, NBC, Netflix, Paramount+, Peacock, Prime Video, Showtime, Sony Pictures TV, Starz, Syfy, Universal Studio Group, Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Bros. Television, and many others.

SCADshow illuminates Midtown Atlanta during winter with the SCAD TVfest, showcasing the freshest and most contemporary programs on television according to SCAD president and founder Paula Wallace. If you’re eager to catch the latest series ahead of your peers or a professional in search of promising new talent, the SCAD TVfest (the largest TV festival hosted by any university worldwide) has got you covered.

She adds, “Experts are eagerly waiting to be among the first to visit the freshly opened SCAD Film Studios in Midtown, which will make its debut at this year’s festival. There’s no need to switch channels as SCAD TVfest has you all set with the latest shows, sneak previews, and captivating celebrities.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that this upcoming festival is honoring numerous actors, many of whom will also participate in engaging discussions. Among them is Hiroyuki Sanada, an esteemed actor who has been recognized with a Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards for his exceptional work on “Shōgun.” Remarkably, he’s being bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award at this event.

The ensemble cast of “St. Denis Medical” on NBC is set to receive the prestigious Breakthrough Cast Award. Notably present at this event will be lead actress Allison Tolman, as well as creators and executive producers Eric Ledgin and Justin Spitzer.

Actor Noah Centineo, known for his role in “The Recruit” on Netflix, is set to receive the Distinguished Performance Award. Sophie Skelton from “Outlander” will be presented with the Lumière Award, while Walker Scobell, who gained fame in “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” will be recognized with the Rising Star Award. Additionally, Uzo Aduba, star of Netflix’s upcoming series “The Residence,” is also slated to receive an honor at the festival and engage in a discussion with co-stars Bronson Pinchot and Susan Kelechi Watson.

It’s always exciting to return to Atlanta for our yearly SCAD TVfest, where we shine a light on some of the best television series and their creators,” remarks Christina Routhier, the senior executive director of SCAD Theaters and Festivals. “Our students are incredibly enthusiastic about every aspect of television – from production, casting, animation, and beyond. This is a truly unique opportunity for them to learn directly from the brightest minds in the industry.

A significant number of TV shows in this year’s lineup were produced either in or around Atlanta, Georgia, such as “Stranger Things” and the upcoming comedy series on Prime Video titled “Clean Slate”. Notably, “Clean Slate” boasts involvement from 107 alumni, students, and faculty members of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

During the event, a panel will be held with cast members Cox, George Wallace, Telma Hopkins, D.K. Uzoukwu, Jay Wilkison, Norah Murphy, and writer Shomari Kirkwood (an alum of SCAD). Additionally, Cox will receive the Impact Award for their contributions to the entertainment industry.
