Satisfactory: How to Use the Awesome Sink and Awesome Shop

In Satisfactory, the ultimate goal is a factory that runs perfectly, using everything it produces without any leftover materials. However, achieving a truly balanced factory is unrealistic—you’ll always end up with excess items. That’s where the Awesome Sink comes in; it lets you get rid of those extras.

What is the Awesome Sink?

The Awesome Sink is a building you can use to dispose of unwanted items. It gives you tickets as a reward, with more complex items earning more tickets. While optional, these tickets can be spent at the Awesome Shop on useful things like cosmetic building parts, walkways, and vehicles. It’s definitely worth building one, as the shop has a lot to offer! For a full list of items and how many tickets they cost, check the official Satisfactory wiki page on the Awesome Shop.

How does the Awesome Sink Work?

The Awesome Sink can process items as fast as your factory can make them, making it perfect for high-volume production lines. You can build several Awesome Sinks throughout your factory – they all contribute to the same point total, and you can redeem tickets from any of them, whenever you want. Strategically placing Sinks around your megafactory allows you to efficiently convert excess materials into profit. More complex items earn significantly more points towards tickets. Keep in mind that each ticket you generate becomes more expensive. For instance, an Iron Ingot gives you just 2 points, while a Crystal Oscillator earns 3,072. A Thermal Propulsion Rocket, however, will generate over 370,000 points!

How to get the most out of your Awesome Sink

Once you upgrade your Awesome Sink with faster conveyor belts, the key is balancing how much effort each item takes to make with how much it produces. Early on, materials like Silica and Quickwire are good choices because they’re easy to create and give you a lot of output quickly. As you advance, you’ll need Silica for crafting, so you’ll eventually want to start making more complex items instead.

The Awesome Sink can handle almost anything you throw away, with a few exceptions like food and radioactive materials.
