Previously, I’d always refused, as it was already in its ideal state, Gellar shared on the talk show. But after viewing ‘[And Just Like That…]’ and ‘[Dexter: Original Sin]’, I began to consider that there might indeed be viable options for change, making me ponder, ‘Perhaps I should reconsider.’
Gellar noted that “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” might not strictly have to be a prequel, instead offering various other compelling storylines to explore.
Gellar noted that it could encompass anything, essentially making it a whole universe. This perspective underscores the fact that in today’s world, having heroes around seems increasingly vital and important.
2023 saw the Golden Globe nominee voice her disinterest in participating in a “Buffy” reboot, as reported by SFX Magazine through IndieWire.
Gellar expressed great pride in the show they produced, stating there’s no need for a return as the character because they’ve already concluded it satisfactorily,” or simply, “Gellar is proud of the show and feels it’s been properly concluded, so there’s no need to reprise the role.
In the upcoming “Dexter” prequel series titled “Dexter: Original Sin,” Gellar will make her next appearance. Additionally, she acted in “Wolf Pack” which was released in 2023.
