Samsung has announced that its first triple-folding phone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, will be available in the US, and revealed its price and features. This is a high-end device.
The new phone will be available in the US starting January 30, 2026, and will cost $2,899. Samsung’s Z TriFold will come with 512GB of storage in a single color: Crafted Black.
Okay, so getting my hands on this Z TriFold is still a bit of a mystery. Samsung’s saying we can buy it directly from them – either at their Experience Stores or through their website. But honestly, I’m still waiting to hear if my carrier – Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile – will actually sell it. Hopefully, they do, because that’d make things a lot easier!
Galaxy Z TriFold pricing and US release date

Okay, so I’m a huge Samsung fan, and I’ve been following the foldable phone scene closely. The new Galaxy Z TriFold is seriously impressive, but the price tag… wow! It’s coming in at $2,899. That’s a big jump from the older Galaxy Z Fold phones, which were around $1,999.99. Basically, it costs about $900 more than the previous models when it first comes out. It’s definitely a premium device, and the price reflects that!
Right now, Samsung sells the TriFold with a black finish and 512GB of storage. They haven’t said if other colors or storage options will be available.
It’s still unclear which carriers will offer the new device. Samsung hasn’t said whether you’ll be able to buy it with monthly payments through your wireless provider when it’s first released.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold specs revealed
Samsung has also shared the core hardware behind its first triple-folding phone.
The device features a vibrant 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a sharp, high-resolution picture (2160 x 1584). It automatically adjusts its refresh rate from a super-smooth 120Hz down to 1Hz to save battery life, while still looking great.
The phone features a 6.5-inch cover screen with a vibrant, high-resolution display. It uses FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology with a sharp 2520 x 1080 resolution (422 ppi) and can adjust its refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz for smooth visuals and power efficiency.

The device runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, along with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space. It has a 5,600mAh battery to keep it powered.
The phone’s camera system features a high-resolution 200MP main camera with a wide f1.7 aperture, a 12MP ultrawide lens with f2.2, and a 10MP telephoto lens that provides 3x optical zoom and an f2.4 aperture. It also includes a 10MP front-facing camera and a 10MP inner display camera, both with f2.2 apertures.
So, Samsung just dropped a whole bunch of new foldable phones, and it’s interesting timing! Everyone’s been hearing rumors that Apple is finally working on their own foldable device, and a YouTuber named Jon Prosser actually put out a video back in December detailing everything he knows about it. It feels like Samsung is making a big statement right as Apple might be about to enter the game!
