I understand why he’s excited. I don’t normally watch Wheel of Fortune, but this is actually pretty interesting. I didn’t realize how difficult it was to win that prize. It’s amazing how many things need to happen just to get the chance to try and solve the puzzle for $1 million.
First, you need to land on a good spot on the wheel and guess a correct letter. Next, you have to solve the puzzle at hand. After that, you aim to be the overall winner. Then, a $1 million prize goes into the wheel for you to spin and select a mystery prize – so hitting the right spot is crucial again. Finally, you must solve the puzzle in the bonus round. Winning on Wheel of Fortune is quite an experience.
Here’s why Christina, the newest millionaire, is a remarkable winner: she’s only the 14th contestant to attempt the bonus round prize, and just the fifth in the show’s history to win $1 million. She’s also the first to achieve this since Ryan Seacrest became the host, taking over from Pat Sajak a little over a year ago. Seacrest had previously expressed his excitement about seeing someone win the million-dollar prize. Given how infrequent these wins are – this is only the fifth time in the 17 years the prize has been offered – Seacrest got his wish rather quickly after becoming host.
