‘Running Point’ Trailer: Kate Hudson Leads a Basketball Team in Netflix Comedy

In the initial preview for Netflix’s upcoming series “Running Point,” Kate Hudson is under scrutiny, with the premiere set for February 27th.

Following a scandal resulting in her brother’s compulsory departure, Isla Gordon (Hudson) assumes presidency of the Los Angeles Waves basketball team, which leaves many men around her discontent. Isla now must demonstrate to her brothers, the board, and the broader sports community that she is capable of handling the role and can withstand the pressures it brings.

The main actors are Brenda Song (from “The Social Network”), Drew Tarver (“The Other Two”), Scott MacArthur (“The Mick”), Fabrizio Guido (“Mr. Iglesias”), Toby Sandeman (“The Game”), Chet Hanks (“Greyhound”), Jay Ellis (“Insecure”), Max Greenfield (“New Girl”), Keyla Monterroso Mejia (“Freeridge”), Roberto Sanchez (“Palm Royale”), Uche Agada (“Rise”) and Dane DiLiegro (“Prey”).

This version retains the information in a more natural and easy-to-read format, making it easier for readers to understand who the actors are and what shows or movies they have previously appeared in.

Running Point” is a new production from the team behind “The Mindy Project,” including Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen. This is the latest venture for Kaling following Season 3 of “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” which she also produced, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television through her company, Kaling International, where she has an ongoing deal.

The executive producers for “Running Point” are Hudson, Howard Klein from 3 Arts Entertainment, Jeanie Buss, and Linda Rambis. Previously, Stassen served as a showrunner on “The History of the World: Part II” and was an executive producer for films such as “Blockers” and “The Oath.”
