Running into Fellowship error? It seems like no one can play today due to Login Failure

Fellowship is a role-playing game where up to four players team up to explore dungeons. Players choose different roles, like healers (such as Sylvie) or damage dealers (like Rime), and work together. Recently, though, it’s been hard to play together smoothly because of a strange error. It’s not just a server problem – the issue is actually quite complex.

Login Failure in Fellowship explained

Ugh, the last few hours of playing Fellowship have been rough! It keeps giving me this “Eos_Unexpectederror” message, and it’s really frustrating. Apparently, it’s something to do with the connection to the game servers, but thankfully it’s not a problem caused by the Fellowship team themselves. It looks like the issue is actually with Epic Online Services, which is a bit of a relief, but still annoying!

So, as a player, it’s been frustrating with all the crashes in Fellowship, but I’ve learned it’s not really the developers’ fault. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5, and the server stuff is handled by Epic Games themselves. Basically, even if the Chief Rebel team wanted to fix these crashes, their hands are tied because the issue is with the engine and servers, not their own code. I get why everyone’s upset, but honestly, venting at the developers isn’t going to solve anything. It’s an Epic Games problem, not a Chief Rebel one.

Interestingly, Epic Games isn’t alone in having platform problems – Steam is also experiencing issues. Players are reporting these problems on the Downdetector website. While nothing is confirmed yet, it’s possible this could be a wider attack targeting both platforms by hackers.

The developers are confident the team handling this issue is already working on a fix and it should be available shortly. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience as we wait for updates.
