Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma Launches May 30 – Collector’s Edition Preorders Are Live

The much-anticipated Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma now has an official release date! This upcoming role-playing farming sim title will be available on both Nintendo Switch and PC starting May 30th. Originally unveiled during a Nintendo Direct in August, preorders for the game quickly followed the debut trailer. Two physical versions of the game are available for Nintendo Switch – the “Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma’s Earth Dancer Limited Edition” and a standard edition priced at $60. The Earth Dancer Limited Edition was initially sold out but is now back in stock at retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. If you prefer to just get the game without any additional extras, the standard edition is still available for purchase.

From what we’ve seen in the preview trailer and early game details, it seems that Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is set to advance the familiar blend of role-playing game (RPG) and farming simulation elements found in past Rune Factory titles. This upcoming game is set in the fantastical realm of Azuma, which draws inspiration from Japanese folklore. In this world, players will assume the role of a unique character known as an “Earth Dancer”, a magical martial artist, embarking on a journey to rejuvenate the land by establishing farms, repairing villages, and engaging in RPG-style missions, including quests and battles against formidable foes.
