Marvelous has released the debut character trailer for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, featuring the selectable male protagonist, Subaru. In addition, they have unveiled a number of new screenshots that provide a glimpse into the gameplay and cutscenes of the forthcoming title.
The latest preview heavily focuses on scenes depicting Subaru, including one where he develops romantic ties with Kaguya, a potential love interest who becomes an independent marriage option if not selected initially. Another scene spotlights Subaru’s meeting with Pilika, the northern hunter, whom you can pursue romantically, but only after purchasing a separate DLC expansion. It’s important to note that additional images from this update reveal opportunities for Subaru to date and wed Iroha, the teahouse waitress, although she is not highlighted in the trailer itself.
