First looks at the upcoming Netflix thriller, Run Away, have been released. The series, based on a Harlan Coben novel, stars James Nesbitt, Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, and Alfred Enoch. It’s the latest Harlan Coben adaptation from Netflix, following the popular Missing You which debuted on January 1, 2025. Run Away is scheduled to premiere on January 1, 2026.
Netflix has shared some initial photos from the upcoming series, Run Away, which you can view in the gallery below.

The first picture features Minnie Driver and James Nesbitt as a relaxed couple, reading on a couch. The second shows Ruth Jones at what appears to be a crime scene, standing behind police tape. Finally, the third image depicts Alfred Enoch wearing a police vest and raising his hands, possibly as a signal of caution.
The new series, Run Away, centers on a father (Simon Nesbitt) whose life is turned upside down when his daughter goes missing and is found in a dangerous predicament. As he tries to bring her home, he’s drawn into a dark and violent world, and long-buried family secrets begin to surface. The show asks the question: “How far would you go to bring her back?”
Simon Nesbitt seemed to have it all – a happy family, a good career, and a comfortable home. But his world shattered when his teenage daughter, Paige, ran away. Now, he’s finally found her, but she’s struggling with drug addiction and in a vulnerable state. Their reunion quickly turns dangerous as a disagreement erupts into shocking violence. After the incident, Simon loses contact with Paige again, and his desperate search to find her leads him into a dark and dangerous world, uncovering family secrets that could destroy everything he holds dear.
The show features a talented cast including Lucian Msamati, Jon Pointing, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Annette Badland, Maeve Courtier-Lilley, Ellie de Lange, Adrian Greensmith, Ellie Henry, Ingrid Oliver, Finty Williams, Joe McGann, and Amy Gledhill.
Harlan Coben is an executive producer for Run Away, one of thirteen Netflix series adapted from his popular novels. Danny Brocklehurst wrote the series, and Nimer Rashed (episodes 1-3 and 7-8) and Isher Sahota (episodes 4-6) were the main directors.
Like other Harlan Coben adaptations, the story of Run Away has been moved from the US to the UK. It was filmed in Manchester and throughout the North West of England.
