During a private conversation with TopMob, the ex-FaZe pro gamer, ropz, disclosed the genuine motivation leading to his decision to join Team Vitality – one of the most significant team transfers during the off-season.

FaZe Temperrr, one of the co-founders of the organization, stated that ropz desired to join a team with greater offensive capabilities. However, ropz refuted this claim, asserting that there was no internal conflict within the organization and that he chose to depart on his own terms.

I had a chat with ropz to hear his account firsthand about his departure. Given that FaZe Clan was a powerhouse in Counter-Strike, and he played an integral role in their victories, it’s intriguing why he chose to leave the team.

FaZe expressed regret that I was leaving, as they cherished our relationship. In essence, there’s a lot of affection within FaZe. Making this choice was indeed challenging. The time off felt brief considering the amount of mental exertion I invested in contemplating it, even while at home. Making such a significant decision, one that influences both life and career, was stressful.

For nearly ten years, ropz has been a renowned professional Counter-Strike player, earning multiple MVP accolades, a major championship, and an Intel Grand Slam title. Although his time with FaZe Clan leaves a lasting impression, he’s eager to create something fresh and exciting in the world of eSports.

He shared some thoughts about his professional journey and where he envisions himself in the next couple of years. It’s more about his personal goals than FaZe, it seems. Given that his contract with FaZe is ending, this seems like an opportune time for him to join a new team, marking a fresh start and potentially moving away from FaZe.

If I had an opportunity to explore something fresh, a new adventure, a new phase in my life, this seemed like the perfect moment. Last year, we had a conversation with zywOo, and it’s now nearly a year later, yet he remains the radiant cornerstone that the French team has constructed their squad around. The challenging encounters against Vitality during professional matches were one of the reasons ropz chose to join, initially.

Beyond being freed from the concern of facing off against Vitality, he now finds himself in a squad fully prepared to conquer the most prominent team in 2024 – Team Spirit.
