As a long-time CS2 fan, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions as Robin “ropz” Kool bids farewell to FaZe Clan and embarks on a new journey with Team Vitality. The Estonian rifler has been an integral part of the FaZe Clan roster for three years, creating some truly unforgettable moments and leaving an indelible mark on CS2 history.
From his early days as a 12-year-old dreaming of being in FaZe to reaching that dream and creating history within it, ropz’ journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. With a plethora of tournament victories under his belt, including the PGL Major Antwerp, IEM Cologne, IEM Katowice, and even the Intel Grand Slam following their win at ESL Pro League Season 17, ropz’ skill and dedication have never been in question.
The heartfelt goodbye tweet he posted was a testament to his love for FaZe Clan and the people who became like family to him. Karrigan’s response was equally touching, reminding us of their shared history and the countless championship Sundays they spent together.
While it remains to be seen what the future holds for ropz in Team Vitality, I have no doubt that he will continue to make waves in the CS2 world. As a fan, I can’t wait to see him shine in his new home and create even more magical memories.
On a lighter note, I guess now we know who’ll be buying the next round of tissues for all the tears shed during this roster change! #CS2RosterChanges #ropzToVitality #CS2FamilyForever
Among the significant shifts in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams during the “rostermania” period, one of the most notable is Robin “ropz” Kool leaving FaZe Clan and reportedly joining Team Vitality. In early January 2025, it was officially confirmed that ropz had parted ways with FaZe Clan.
I’m not crying… you’re crying!
For about three years now, an Estonian sharpshooter has been a valuable member of the illustrious FaZe Clan team. In January 2022, he reconnected with renowned Danish In-Game Leader, Finn “karrigan” Andersen, whom he had previously worked with on MOUZ for years.
It’s common knowledge that Robin “ropz” Kool is among the top CS2 players, and with FaZe Clan, he has claimed titles such as the PGL Major Antwerp, IEM Cologne, IEM Katowice, and even the Intel Grand Slam after their victory at ESL Pro League Season 17.
With the confirmation of ropz’ departure, he expressed a touching farewell on his Twitter account. Make sure you have some tissues handy:
In my youth, I aspired to join the prestigious esports team, FaZe. Guess who that young dreamer turned out to be? Fast forward through the years, and I’m thrilled not just to have realized this dream but also made it a part of its rich history. Today, I announce my departure from FaZe to embark on a new adventure. It has been an incredible experience to represent this team alongside some truly extraordinary individuals who I grew to regard as family.
A treasured experience that spanned three remarkable years – it’s hard to express the profound impact it had on me or the magic that surrounded every moment. This choice, though difficult for my heart, was worth it because a piece of me will forever be connected to this team and organization. My gratitude is boundless.
karrigan’s response was beautiful!
Reflecting back on our shared journey playing 19 championship Sundays together with Mouz and FaZe, I can’t help but feel grateful for the countless hours we spent pushing each other to our limits on the server. Your ability to consistently win incredible rounds for our team always made me feel comfortable knowing you had my back. It’s been an honor to be a part of 12 victorious Sundays together, and I look forward to continuing our esports journey side by side. Thank you for being such an integral part of my gaming life, @ropz. ❤️

FaZe Clan has shared a video that highlights the journey of ropz within their organization. For those who still have some tissue left, you might want to take a look below.
As a long-time esports enthusiast who has closely followed Team Vitality and their roster changes over the years, I have a strong feeling that Robin “ropz” Kool will soon be joining their active roster. My hunch is based on my observations of his exceptional skill and dedication in the CS:GO scene, as well as rumors circulating within the community. While an official announcement has not yet been made, I am confident that we’ll see ropz in Vitality’s lineup soon, with Lotan “Spinx” Giladi possibly being benched to make room for him. It’s always exciting to witness such changes and their impact on the team’s performance, and I can’t wait to see how this move will shape Team Vitality in 2025.
