Locksmith Animation, the creative team from London responsible for “Ron’s Gone Wrong” and the latest Netflix hit “That Christmas,” have unveiled their initial self-produced animated film.
Under the title “Wed Wabbit,” this film is set to debut at the European Film Market. Timeless Films will manage global distribution, while it’s also produced in partnership with Cantilever Media.
According to BAFTA-winning author Lissa Evans’ book titled “Wed Wabbit”, this story is a humorous and hilarious journey that resembles Alice’s adventures in Wonderland. It revolves around the character of Fidge, a 12-year-old girl who finds herself in the whimsical world of her sister Minnie’s favorite pop-up book after an unexpected occurrence. This world is now under the rule of the tyrant known as the Wed Wabbit, a cherished toy of Minnie’s. To add to her troubles, Fidge is accompanied by her pompous cousin Graham, who also finds himself in this crazy situation. Fidge must maneuver through this chaotic and absurd world while staying one step ahead of the unpredictable Wed Wabbit, who aims to keep her trapped.
Locksmith Animation’s CEO, Natalie Fischer, announced that ‘Wed Wabbit’ is a significant achievement for them, being their first standalone feature.
