Ronnie Taylor dropped charges against Alan Ritchson because he has “zero interest” in going to court

Ronnie Taylor, the man from Tennessee who was in the widely shared fight with Alan Ritchson, says he decided not to press charges against the actor because he didn’t want to deal with the hassle of going to court.

Video of a fight between the two men went viral on March 22nd, leading people to wonder why Ritchson was attacking someone on the street. However, the other man in the video, Taylor, later explained that he started the fight, claiming Ritchson had been driving recklessly through his neighborhood.

Shortly after the incident, complete bodycam footage surfaced online, showing exactly what happened: Taylor went into the street to try and stop Ritchson, and Ritchson pushed him. The Brentwood Police Department determined Ritchson was acting in self-defense.

The British man who filed the charges now says he dropped them because he doesn’t want to deal with a court case.

Ronnie Taylor “didn’t even lawyer up” against Alan Ritchson

I saw that Taylor spoke to TMZ again, and it’s really cool to hear his perspective. He said he was just focused on what was best for his community, and that’s why he hasn’t sued the Reacher actor. Apparently, he has absolutely no desire to take this to court, which I think shows a lot of character!

Taylor explained that they were concerned about the driver speeding through their neighborhood. They felt intimidated by the driver’s status as a Hollywood celebrity, knowing he likely had legal representation while they did not, and therefore chose not to pursue legal action themselves.

The British man living abroad stated that he and Ritchson hadn’t exchanged any money, emphasizing, “Not even a penny.” He does acknowledge, though, that his behavior likely led the police to side with the actor.

According to the police, simply standing my ground in front of him and his motorcycle was enough to justify my actions as self-defense. I didn’t hit him, I just pushed him, and I believe that push contributed to my self-defense claim.”

Ritchson didn’t say much publicly about the situation, only posting a quote from Napoleon Bonaparte on Instagram: “Never interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake.”

The actor shared the post just before the complete video of the event surfaced online, revealing that Taylor started the fight while Ritchson was driving his motorcycle around the neighborhood.

The actor recently shared details about his hectic week and celebrated the positive reception of his Netflix film, War Machine.

Who is Ronnie Taylor?

Taylor currently works at KPMG USA as a senior director, focusing on partnerships with Google Cloud, particularly within the financial services and life sciences industries. He also seems to be involved in applying AI to the banking sector. Before joining KPMG almost two years ago, he spent four years as a director at Google in New York.

After the event, Taylor spoke with TMZ and shared details about the slight injuries he received.

After being hit by Ritchson, Taylor suffered a black eye and cuts on his forehead that had begun to heal. He went to the emergency room for pain and was checked for a concussion.
