The new season of this Netflix action series looks amazing! It appears to be blending the intense action of Ninja Assassin with the underdog story and heart of Rocky.
I’ve been so excited to see how many Korean shows Netflix has added lately! Of course, Squid Game was a huge hit and still is, but there are so many other amazing K-dramas to check out. I recently found one that’s a really cool mix of intense fighting and a gripping crime story – it’s definitely worth a watch!
The popular, action-filled K-drama did well in its first season and is coming back soon. Early signs suggest the next season will be even better.
Ninja Assassin’s Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) Is The Main Villain In Bloodhounds Season 2
Currently, Bloodhounds is a very popular action series on Netflix, comparable to Weak Hero. While the first season started strong but lost some momentum towards the end, it was successful enough to earn a second season. Season 2 appears to be much more ambitious and comprehensive.
Check out its season 2 trailer below:
The trailer for Bloodhounds season 2 shows fans can expect even more intense boxing scenes and matches, similar to the Rocky films. This season will also introduce a new villain, played by K-pop star Rain (Jung Ji-hoon), who you might also recognize from his role in the 2009 film Ninja Assassin.
The trailer for season 2 of Bloodhounds shows Rain looking strikingly similar to his character Raizo from Ninja Assassin, but with a noticeably tougher and more menacing appearance. It will be interesting to see him battle the show’s main characters and showcase his diverse martial arts skills against their boxing expertise.
It’s incredibly sad that Kim Sae-ron, who was fantastic as Cha Hyeon-ju in Bloodhounds season one, won’t be returning for season two. She was a huge part of what made the first season so good. But, after watching the trailer, I’m still optimistic. Bloodhounds season two looks like it’s going to build on everything we loved about the original and deliver another thrilling ride.
Bloodhounds Season 2 Has The Perfect Opportunity To Make Up For Its Predecessor’s Mistakes
As a big fan of Korean action series, I was really hooked by Bloodhounds at first. It started strong – the first six episodes were fantastic, showing these two boxers taking on some seriously nasty loan sharks. But honestly, it lost steam towards the end. The final episodes felt a bit rushed and didn’t quite connect as well, which was a shame because it had so much potential. It’s a contrast to Weak Hero, which just keeps getting better and better with each new episode.
Even so, it’s hard to forget the first season of the show and how much it stood out as a strong addition to Netflix’s action-packed lineup.
Okay, so season 2 is really stepping things up! They’re moving beyond just the loan shark stuff and diving headfirst into this really intense underground boxing tournament, which is awesome. What’s really exciting is the shift in Gun-woo and Woo-jin’s relationship. It looks like Woo-jin is going to be coaching Gun-woo now, helping him climb the ranks in the boxing world. It’s a great dynamic shift and I’m really looking forward to seeing how that plays out.
As the leader of the gambling operation surrounding the boxing tournament, Baek-jeong will exploit the rules of the sport to defeat the two central characters. This will create opportunities for more intense and exciting fight scenes, both during the matches and in the world outside the ring.
The upcoming season of the Netflix K-drama, based on the original Webtoon, is expected to have seven episodes. This shorter length should create a tighter, more consistently paced story compared to the first season.
We hope Bloodhounds season 2 lives up to the original Netflix K-drama, just like Weak Hero Class 2 did.
