Robin Wright to Receive the Crystal Nymph Award at the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival

I’m thrilled to share that I, Robin Wright, am set to receive the Crystal Nymph Award during the closing ceremony of the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival, happening at the Grimaldi Forum on June 17. This prestigious award will be presented in the presence of Prince Albert II of Monaco, and it honors a television professional for an exceptional career and lasting influence on our industry, as stated by the festival itself.

Actress Robin Wright gained recognition for playing Buttercup in “The Princess Bride,” later becoming recognized as one of the most gifted actresses of her era, according to the festival. Her performance as Claire Underwood on the show “House of Cards” won her a Golden Globe and garnered numerous Emmy Award nominations. Additionally, she has ventured into a concurrent career in directing and producing.

Laurent Puons, head of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, shared: “Robin Wright is an extraordinary actress whose skill, grace, and dedication to art have left a lasting impression on both television and film history. We are honored to bestow upon her the Crystal Nymph Award as a testament to her impressive career and her continued impact on the audiovisual industry.

Wright expressed: “I feel incredibly grateful to be bestowed the Crystal Nymph Award. Throughout my career in television, I’ve had some remarkable experiences, and receiving this accolade makes it even more special. I can’t wait to attend Monte-Carlo in June, sharing this moment with fellow enthusiasts who, like me, cherish and admire the work we produce.
