Robert Pattinson Says ‘The Bamtan 2’ to Start Filming at the End of the Year: The Story Is ‘Very Cool. It’s Very Exciting’

At a grand event for “Mickey 17” in London, Robert Pattinson announced that the filming for “The Batman: Part II” is set to start towards the end of this current year.

During an interview with EbMaster on the movie’s red carpet in Leicester Square, Pattinson chose to keep specific plot details under wraps. However, he couldn’t help but express his enthusiasm about the project: “I believe it will be released towards the end of the year. I know what it’s all about, but I can’t reveal any spoilers. It’s really cool, extremely exciting!

In the most recent movie by the Oscar-winning director of “Parasite”, Bong Joon Ho, Robert Pattinson plays Mickey Barnes, a future pastry chef who is hired as a disposable crew member on a space mission. His role demands total dedication – he must die repeatedly and be “reproduced” after every death.

The movie also features a romantic tale between Mickey and Nasha (Naomi Ackie). The plot delves into issues of what it means to be human, endurance, and social class differences. Although it is adapted from Edward Ashton’s novel “Mickey7,” the screenplay deviates quite a bit from the original material.

In addition to action and adventure, this film presents a love story between Mickey and Nasha (Naomi Ackie). It tackles complex themes such as human identity, survival, and class struggles. Although it is inspired by Edward Ashton’s book “Mickey7,” the movie makes substantial changes to the source material.

At the Leicester Square event, Pattinson talked about the special difficulties he faced while portraying both Mickey 17 and 18. He explained: “It’s essentially like acting in front of a green screen… You’re essentially visualizing the other character, but you’re just hoping you got it right.

In his conversation with EbMaster, Director Bong expressed: “This sci-fi movie features alien worlds and beings, but what truly stood out as something fresh to me was the love story between Mickey and Nasha, as well as Rob and Naomi. Developing that romance was the most significant novelty I encountered while working on this project.

Rob brought Mickey to life in scenes 17 and 18, but his intense performance in scene 18 was truly remarkable. The raw energy and madness in his eyes were impossible to imitate, and they left a lasting impression. That’s what Bong shared, and he also mentioned that he is currently working on a new project – an animated film scheduled for release in 2027.

Actor playing Nasha, Ackie, disclosed that she infused her own brand of humor into the role by improvising, even adding spontaneous expletives at times. She lauded the advanced technical prowess of scenes featuring multiple iterations of Pattinson’s character, which employed face-swapping technology in combination with body doubles.

Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo play a self-absorbed, eccentric couple who manage the ‘Expendables’ team from opulent pink and gold chambers, whereas the rest of the team work in less glamorous industrial settings. Collette commended Bong’s directorial approach, stating that he is incredibly meticulous yet provides ample room for actors to express themselves.

In the movie, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo take on the roles of a bizarre, self-centered couple who run ‘Expendables’ operations from lavishly decorated pink and gold rooms. Meanwhile, the rest of the team operates in grittier industrial conditions. Collette highly appreciated Bong’s directing style, commenting that he is incredibly well-prepared while still offering actors plenty of creative freedom.

“Mickey 17” opens worldwide March 7 from Warner Bros.
