I was so excited to see Robert Downey Jr., who’s going to play Doctor Doom, share a new piece of Avengers: Doomsday merchandise! It was revealed during the Super Bowl weekend and the design was perfect. Honestly, the marketing for this movie has been incredible lately – ever since those first trailers dropped last month, we’ve been seeing more and more merchandise pop up online, and it’s all giving us clues about what to expect when Doctor Doom finally appears. It’s really cool to see how closely they’re sticking to his comic book look, and the merch seems to hint at the amazing magical powers he’ll have in the film. It’s awesome that an MCU veteran like RDJ is involved in sharing these little sneak peeks!
Robert Downey Jr. shared a photo on Instagram of himself and his wife, Susan, sporting a custom Super Bowl jersey inspired by Avengers: Doomsday. The jersey depicts Doctor Doom’s hand reaching for the football. He captioned the post simply, “Team Green.”

The jersey’s pattern looks like the Super Bowl’s Vince Lombardi Trophy, but it’s designed to resemble being held by the armored hand of the villain Doctor Doom.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to premiere in theaters on December 18.
