New Riot job listings and leaked screenshots indicate a new Valorant game is in development.
Valorant has become a huge success for Riot Games, building on the popularity of their earlier game, League of Legends. It’s a ‘hero shooter’ – a first-person shooter where characters have special abilities – but stands out from games like Overwatch by focusing on strategy and precise shooting, much like Counter-Strike.
Valorant, which launched in 2020 and remains popular, is likely getting a new game set in the same world. Riot Games, the company behind Valorant, seems to be building on the success of the original tactical shooter with this new project.
Recent job postings and leaked pictures suggest Riot Games is working on something new, and they’ve attempted to hide evidence of it after the leaks appeared, according to The Game Post.
Leaks claim Riot is working on a new Valorant game
Riot Games recently posted job openings for an Associate Art Director and a 3D Character Artist, indicating they’re working on a new, unannounced project.
The job posting specified they were looking for someone with experience designing characters for first-person shooter games, particularly those with a distinct visual style. They also wanted someone familiar with modern game engines like Unity or Unreal, and with the game Valorant.
The job description also indicates the ideal applicant will design the visual style of characters and create all related artwork, including people, creatures, objects, and outfits. This implies the game will feature new characters not currently available in Valorant.
Okay, so I’m super excited about what looks like Riot’s new game, currently called Project T! From what I’ve seen, it’s going to be a mix of MMO and FPS, which sounds amazing. It looks like they’re planning on having seasons and some kind of player housing where you can progress and customize your own personal space. I saw an image leak from @PlayerIGN and it’s getting me hyped!

The listing has reportedly since been modified to remove the mentions of Valorant and FPS.
Okay, so things are getting even crazier! Not only did we get that initial leak, but screenshots of a whole new game – apparently called “Project T,” and it’s an MMOFPS – have popped up. SargeOP posted them on X, and they actually pointed out that the username “PlayerIGN” was *in* the screenshots themselves, so it seems legit.
The unclear screenshot seems to be from a very early version of the game. It shows a character wearing a red and blue outfit and holding a customized, high-tech weapon. The character’s face has been altered, so it’s impossible to tell who it is.
The user interface displays weapon icons, as well as indicators for health and armor. Sarge has announced that Project T will include seasonal content and a system for upgrading personal living spaces.
Until an official announcement, it’s best to be cautious about this information. However, considering how well Valorant has done and Riot Games’ interest in branching out into fighting games and anime, there’s a good chance we might see a new game set in the Valorant world.
