Okay, so the ending to ‘s latest game just dropped, and honestly, it totally threw me for a loop. It’s not the ending anyone was expecting, that’s for sure!
According to reports, the highly anticipated Rick and Morty: The End #6, written by Daniel Kibblesmith with art by Jarrett Williams and colors by Alessandro Santoro, won’t actually be the series finale as many expected. That distinction will now go to Rick and Morty Forever #0, featuring art by Troy Little, and promises to expand the story in new directions.
Oni Press jokingly announced their final Rick and Morty comic issue with a self-aware statement. They described Rick and Morty Forever as a last, obvious attempt to promote the series, marking the end of their long and successful run with the wildly popular, dimension-hopping, and often outrageous sci-fi comic.

The description for the first issue of Rick and Morty Forever from Oni Press explains a unique punishment for Rick Sanchez: being forced to watch everything he’s ever desired, with absolutely no ability to interact or change anything. It’s a cosmic form of isolation, essentially a never-ending timeout where he’s left to contemplate his actions while being powerless to affect the universe.
As Rick suffers, he discovers his grandson, Morty, is also facing a terrible destiny. Will Rick be able to save the one person who’s always been there for him, despite all his mistakes? Can love help them overcome this challenge, or is everything ultimately meaningless?
Oni Press Has Kept Rick and Morty Alive Through A Fresh Form of Entertainment
The comic book series Rick and Morty: The End from Oni Press has been very popular with fans, sending Rick and Morty on one of their most exciting adventures across different dimensions. Throughout the story, they’ve met many familiar characters, as well as some new ones.
Even after Oni Press finishes publishing the comic book series, fans will still have lots of Rick and Morty content to enjoy, both on TV and in comic form. The latest installment, Vol.2: After-School Science Club, written by Josh Tierney with art by JeyOdin, will be available in stores this February.
Even though this Rick and Morty story is told as a manga – a different format than most fans are used to – it still delivers the same classic Rick and Morty experience. Writer Josh Tierney explains it was a dream project, combining his love for the show’s dark, absurd humor with his lifelong passion for manga. He specifically created it for fans who enjoy both Rick and Morty and manga, hoping to share that experience with them.
