Actor Richard Jenkins has been added to the cast for the forthcoming HBO miniseries “DTF St. Louis,” according to our sources at EbMaster.

In the upcoming series, Jenkins is joining stars Jason Bateman, David Harbour, and Linda Cardellini who were announced earlier. The show was secured for seven episodes by HBO back in November and is currently undergoing preparations before filming begins.

The updated tagline describes the series as follows: “This show explores a complex romantic entanglement among three mature individuals grappling with middle-age ennui, culminating in one of them meeting an untimely end.” In this production, Jenkins portrays Detective Donoghue Homer.

Jenkins is a talented and adaptable actor who boasts impressive resumes in both drama and comedy, spanning movies and TV shows. He clinched an Emmy Award for outstanding lead actor in a limited series or movie for the HBO miniseries “Olive Kitteridge.” In 2023, he was also nominated for another Emmy for his portrayal in the Netflix series “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” Besides these, Jenkins’ TV appearances include “Berlin Station” and “Six Feet Under.” On the big screen, he has been honored with two Oscar nominations – one for best actor in 2009 for the film “The Visitor,” and another for best supporting actor in the Best Picture winner “The Shape of Water.

He is repped by Gersh.

Steven Conrad holds multiple roles on the series “DTF St. Louis,” including writer, showrunner, executive producer, and director. Both Harbour and Bateman will serve as executive producers, with Bateman doing so under his production company, Aggregate Films. Other executive producers include Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch from Escape Artists, Molly Allen, Bruce Terris, Michael Costigan (all from Aggregate Films), Kristina Wenson from Bravo Axolotl, and MGM Television.
