Rhett & Link reveal children’s book that focuses on picky eaters

Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal, the hosts of Good Mythical Morning, are expanding their talents to include children’s books. They’ve announced their first book, *Spaghetti Head & Chicken Fingers*, will be available on June 16, 2026.

Okay, so this book is about these two best friends, Saffy and Lumo, who are seriously obsessed with buttered pasta and chicken fingers – like, that’s *all* they eat. It’s hilarious because one morning, Saffy wakes up and her hair is actually spaghetti! And Lumo? His hands turn into chicken fingers! It’s a really funny take on the saying ‘you are what you eat,’ and I’m already hooked to see what happens next!

According to Rhett McLaughlin, this book is perfect for those with fussy eaters. It playfully takes the saying ‘You are what you eat’ to a literal level. With illustrations by Erica Salcedo, the book transforms everyday mealtime battles into a fun and engaging experience for families, as shared on the October 13th episode of Good Mythical Morning.

Rhett & Link are releasing a children’s book

McLaughlin and Neal, dads themselves, shared in a press release from HarperCollins that they’ve seen firsthand how challenging it can be to get kids to eat. They hope their book will bring joy to both children and their parents. Illustrator Salcedo, known for her work on books like *The Ugliest Monster in the World* and *All Bodies Are Good Bodies*, uses bright and lively illustrations to capture the book’s silly and imaginative story.

Rhett and Link became famous for creating popular online challenges and experiments, and they turned that into Good Mythical Morning, a daily YouTube show that has been running for a long time and attracts a huge audience.

So, these guys aren’t just game developers – they’re actually bestselling authors too! They’ve written a bunch of books before, like ‘The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek’, ‘The Mythical Cookbook’, and even a book called ‘Rhett & Link’s Book of Mythicality’. Pretty cool, right?

In 2024, Rhett and Link launched a new comedy series on their YouTube channel, which shares their name.
