Panasonic and Capcom are collaborating on a special neck speaker inspired by Resident Evil: Requiem. This wearable device aims to enhance the horror experience by providing immersive, surround sound for players.
Sound is incredibly important in Resident Evil games. Often, you rely on hearing threats before you see them, and recognizing those sounds can be the key to staying alive.
Capcom hopes to heighten the fear factor in its new release, Resident Evil Requiem, launching February 27th, with a unique neck speaker designed to deliver immersive and chilling audio.
Resident Evil Requiem is about to get even scarier
The product page states that this device provides four channels of audio and includes a special “Horror Mode.” This mode enhances quiet sounds like footsteps, breathing, and distant groans to create a more immersive experience.
The Biohazard Requiem Edition neck speaker is designed with a striking “bloody red” color and includes a startup tune inspired by the game. It also features a custom app interface and special packaging showcasing the new character, Grace Ashcroft, and scenes from Raccoon City.
Panasonic highlights that this device has been certified for excellent sound quality by Capcom’s sound team, promising a truly immersive and frightening gaming experience.

Similar to other models in Panasonic’s SoundSlayer series, this Resident Evil edition has 38mm speakers delivering 3W of power, a long-lasting battery, and stereo sound. It can also automatically switch to four-channel surround sound for a more immersive experience.
Right now, this partnership seems to be exclusive to Panasonic’s stores in Japan. There’s no word yet on whether it will be available in other countries, so people outside of Japan might have to buy and ship the device themselves if they’re interested in its unique horror-themed sounds.
The Resident Evil Requiem neck speaker will be available in Japan starting February 26, 2026, and will cost ¥35,200, which is about $224 US dollars.
