Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat gets premiere date and opening titles
AMC announced that the third season of Interview with the Vampire, titled The Vampire Lestat, will debut on June 7, 2026. Fans can watch the new season at the same time on both AMC and the AMC+ streaming service. This season is based on the second book in Anne Rice’s popular Vampire Chronicles series.
AMC has also revealed the opening credits for the new season, set to the song “All Fall Down.” This is the second official rock single from The Vampire Lestat, following the previously released “Long Face.” The song was written and composed by the show’s composer, Daniel Hart, and performed by Sam Reid, who stars as Lestat de Lioncourt. You can listen to it now on popular streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
The new season of Vampire Lestat will feature a rock and roll theme as Lestat embarks on a tour across multiple cities. He’s also confronted by figures from his past who inspire – and haunt – him. As his band gains fame, Lestat’s power over both vampires and humans grows, creating conflict as a massive and unexpected increase in the vampire population – known as the Great Conversion – begins.
AMC renewed Interview with the Vampire for a third season in June 2024, even before the second season had finished airing. A short, four-minute preview was released at San Diego Comic-Con the following month, featuring Lestat reading the opening lines of the original book.
Last month at IGN Fan Fest, a clip was revealed showing Lestat playing the piano for Louis de Pointe du Lac. After finishing, Lestat asks for Louis’s opinion, to which Louis simply replies, “Nice.” Lestat then invites Louis to stay at his place, mentioning he has a spare room. The clip also shows Lestat’s annoyed reaction to the publication of Daniel Molloy’s book, Interview with the Vampire.
In addition to Stephen Reid and Amber Anderson, the cast of The Vampire Lestat includes Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle. The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, Hannah Moscovitch, Christopher Rice, and its creator and showrunner, Rolin Jones.
