Thanks to Netflix adding Red Dead Redemption to its mobile game selection, fans are now able to experience McFarlane’s ranch even while on the go.

Mobile gaming has long been popular, but it used to mean short, simple games. Now, you can experience full-scale adventures like Red Dead Redemption on your phone, which is a huge leap forward. According to The Game Business, this gives a whole new audience a chance to play as John Marston and enjoy this classic game on the go, essentially giving the game a fresh start on mobile devices.

Just a few months after its December 5, 2025 release, the mobile version of Red Dead Redemption has already been downloaded 10 million times! It’s available to play for free with a Netflix subscription, or to purchase on Android and iOS devices. That’s so popular, more people are playing on their phones than live in Switzerland!

After playing Red Dead Redemption, it’s clear why it’s such a hit. The controls might feel a little awkward at first, but it’s a complete game, including the Undead Nightmare expansion and bonus content – which is fantastic! Fighting zombies and tracking down Dutch Van Der Linde’s former gang through the Wild West and Mexico is incredibly fun. It’s a perfect game to enjoy while we eagerly await Red Dead Redemption 3.

Red Dead Redemption 2 might be too demanding for most phones, but how awesome would it be to play GTA 4 on the go while we’re all waiting for the next GTA 6 trailer? That would be a perfect way to tide us over!

I’ll be relaxing in Thieve’s Landing, enjoying a game of poker while dressed my best. And I’m definitely going to pretend that long, complicated mission, ‘The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed,’ doesn’t exist on my map! Fellow players will understand.
