Since its 2018 launch, Red Dead Redemption 2 has consistently captivated players with its expansive and immersive world. A key to its continued success is the regular addition of new, often time-limited, events that keep the gameplay experience fresh and exciting.
Rockstar Games is offering a free download for fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 until April 13th as part of a new, limited-time event. The event offers worthwhile rewards, and demonstrates Rockstar’s continued commitment to the game even with the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI later this year. This highlights their dedication to supporting one of their most popular franchises.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Has a Limited-Time Free Download
The second weekly challenge in Red Dead Redemption 2, called the New Hanover Series, started on April 7th. Players were tasked with reaching Wave 5 in the “Call to Arms” mode, and completing it earned them a blue Prieto Poncho. This offer ends on April 13th, after which the poncho will no longer be available through this challenge.
If you can’t get this special offer, don’t worry! There are still lots of free rewards available in April and May. Simply logging into Red Dead Redemption 2 during April will get you a tan Carbow Double Bandolier.
You can earn extra money from fishing until May 4th! Rockstar Games is offering 5x the RDO$ for all fish sold to the Butcher, and the Fishing Challenge Free Roam Event is also giving out 5x RDO$ and XP.
The new weekly challenge, called the Bow and Arrow Series, starts on April 14th and lasts until April 20th. If you complete any two Free Roam Events during that time, you’ll get a 50% discount on any weapon.
Between April 21st and 27th, participate in the Hardcore Public Enemy Series, and crafting something at Gus’ Shop will earn you a reward from the North Tumbleweed Treasure Map. Then, from April 28th to May 4th, the Hardcore Saint Denis Series begins. If you log into Red Dead Redemption 2 on two different days during that week, you’ll receive gray Shaffer Chaps.
