Real-Life Pokemon Mega Dimension Donuts Could Hint At Returning Legendary Pokemon

Next month’s release of Pokemon Legends Z-A: Mega Dimension is generating a lot of buzz, especially with its focus on Hoopa and the return of beloved Pokemon, including new Mega Evolutions. To celebrate, The Pokemon Company is teaming up with the Pikachu Sweets Pokemon Cafe in Tokyo to create a special menu. These limited-time treats are designed to give fans a tasty glimpse into the world of the new DLC.

The biggest draw of this promotion is a pair of eye-catching new donuts, currently known as the Red Donut and Blue Donut—temporary names to keep a surprise before they’re officially released. Although the names are simple, the donuts clearly look like Groudon and Kyogre, the legendary Pokémon from the covers of Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. The official website playfully suggests this connection with the question: “They look like some kind of Pokémon…?” hinting that these treats might foreshadow the arrival of major Legendary Pokémon in the new downloadable content.

The Red Donut will be strawberry and tea flavored, while the Blue Donut will taste like banana and lemon. Both donuts are priced at 550 yen.

During the promotion, you’ll be able to purchase two different drinks. These include standard hot drinks decorated with Hoopa or Gulpin designs. There’s also a special drink called Hoopa’s Mischief Ruby Chocolate Frappe, which costs 864 yen. It’s a bright pink frappe topped with an edible Hoopa decoration.

This frappe, flavored like orange and chocolate, is based on the playful Pokémon, Hoopa. It’s a surprising pink color despite being chocolate! Just like Hoopa’s tricks, it’s a fun combination. The orange flavor blends with the chocolate sauce at the bottom of the cup to create a delicious and complex taste.

So, the cafe is finishing things off with some really cool hot drinks! They’ll have special latte art featuring Hoopa and Gulpin – perfect for warming up when it gets chilly. These drinks are joining the already amazing donuts to make a whole little menu that gives you a taste of what’s coming in the game, Mega Dimension. And get this – if you grab a donut and a drink together, you get an exclusive Pikachu Sweets sticker! It’s a little bonus for us fans, which is awesome.

Our new menu arrives on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, and will be available through Sunday, March 1, 2026. It’s launching at the same time as our new downloadable content (DLC), and features treats inspired by the exciting content within – including new Mega Evolutions, a story focused on Hoopa, and maybe even a few Legendary Pokémon surprises!
