Reacher star Alan Ritchson gives cryptic update after viral neighbor fight video

Shortly after Ronnie Taylor—the neighbor reportedly involved in a dispute with Alan Ritchson—said he started the conflict, the Reacher actor posted a mysterious message on Instagram.

So, apparently, on Saturday, March 21st, I heard Alan Ritchson, you know, the guy who plays Jack Reacher, got into a bit of a scuffle with his neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, out in Brentwood, Tennessee. It sounds like it started over a motorbike, and someone actually filmed the whole thing – it’s been all over the internet since then!

A video released by TMZ seems to show actor Joe Ritchson hitting a man, identified as Taylor, several times on the street. Two children, reportedly Ritchson’s, were reportedly present during the incident. Taylor has stated the altercation began because he was worried about how Ritchson was driving.

A neighbor told TMZ he approached Kaley Ritchson about driving too fast on their street and asked her to slow down. He said things quickly got heated, but he admitted to being the one who initially pushed her.

Alan Ritchson shares cryptic message after neighbor speaks out

I’ve been following the whole thing with Ritchson, and while he hasn’t said anything directly about it yet, he did post something really interesting on Instagram. He shared a quote from Napoleon Bonaparte – it said, “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.” It feels like a pretty clear message, even if he didn’t say it outright!

It’s not certain if this relates to the recent conflict, but the timing is notable, appearing just hours after Taylor admitted to initiating it. Regardless, fans are expressing their support in the comments.

Messages of support poured in for Alan, with people writing things like, “We’re with you, Alan,” “We’ve got your back,” and “You’re the best!”

They explained further, stating that his admission in the interview – that he initiated contact with them and their children, then physically attacked and threatened them – essentially secured their victory in court.

Police confirm an investigation is underway

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed with Brentwood Police Captain Steve Pepin that police are investigating the incident, but no one has been arrested so far. Captain Pepin anticipates the investigation will take several days to complete.

Before admitting what happened, Taylor explained that the incident began on Saturday morning with the constant sound of a motorcycle speeding through his neighborhood.

I eventually saw the man on Saturday, but I didn’t recognize him at first. I casually asked him to slow down. Then, on Sunday, while I was cleaning my bike in front of my house, he rode by again.

Ritchson rode by several times before Taylor asked him to stop. Taylor explained that things quickly got worse, and he admitted to pushing Ritchson because he was approaching on his bike.

It happened again. I pushed him, and this time, I think he got off his bike and started hitting me. You can see in the video he struck me in the back of the head, and I fell to the ground, trying to protect myself.

Taylor concluded by stating he holds no bad feelings towards Ritchson, but emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable in their community.

Who is Ronnie Taylor?

Ronnie Taylor is a senior director at KPMG, where he leads collaborations with Google in the financial services and life sciences industries, as indicated on his LinkedIn profile. He is a British citizen currently living in Brentwood, Tennessee.

He’s actively involved in LinkedIn with a clear emphasis on building tech partnerships and growing his professional skills. He also dedicates time to giving back through charity work, like participating in fundraising events.

Taylor Swift shared that she’s a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, telling TMZ she’s been riding everything from dirt bikes to street bikes her whole life and is an experienced rider.

However, people online have noticed something else in the interview: what appears to be a “Make America Great Again” hat visible in the background of his room.

Someone commented on Reddit that if the person who was punched is a MAGA supporter, they automatically support the person who did the punching. They stated they don’t care about the details of what happened, but believe the puncher was justified in their actions.

Someone else described Alan as consistently progressive and remarkably level-headed, particularly considering his profession as a bodybuilder.

I’ve heard him talk before about how much he disagrees with the way evangelical Christianity is practiced in America, and honestly, I feel the same way. It just doesn’t make sense to him – or to me – how someone could call themselves a Christian and then support Trump and everything he stands for. You can really tell he genuinely cares about doing what’s right.

I suspected this person was behind everything even before we found out he strongly supported Brexit. The video itself contained clues suggesting Alan couldn’t have been the one who started it all.

Someone else commented that they immediately suspected the situation stemmed from frustration with a neighbor’s political views and behavior. They explained that their own neighborhood has a few politically outspoken residents who frequently cause problems and create conflict.

While many fans seem to support Ritchson, Taylor’s political views haven’t been publicly stated. As the police continue their investigation, we can expect to learn more about what happened soon.
