Fans can look forward to a huge selection of Gunpla models, including exclusive kits and figures. Though it’s a temporary event, Canadian fans will get to enjoy the experience for nearly a month.
Canada Is the Latest Stop for the Gundam Base Pop-Up World Tour 2026
The Gundam Base Pop-Up World Tour is a traveling event that brings the experience of Gundam Base stores – popular in Japan and Asia – to fans around the globe. While there are some permanent Gundam Base locations outside of Japan, many countries don’t have them. This tour solves that by offering a temporary Gundam Base experience in different locations worldwide.
The 2026 tour will be held at this location, although it’s currently unclear if there will be additional stops later in the year. In addition to official products from Bandai, attendees can expect limited-edition figures and exclusive event kits. A wide variety of other Gundam collectibles and merchandise will also be available, displayed alongside completed model kits and action figures.
The Gundam Base World Tour 2026 is coming to Metropolis at Metrotown in Vancouver, British Columbia, from March 7th to 22nd, 2026. Canadian fans of the Gundam series will soon have a chance to experience everything the popular Gundam Base stores have to offer, including displays and merchandise.
This event is extra special because Gundam Base pop-up shops rarely come to Canada, and it’s expected to be very popular. Fans will want to plan ahead to see everything Bandai has to offer before the end of March. Good news for collectors elsewhere in North America: you’ll soon be able to enjoy the Gundam Base experience all year round! The first permanent Gundam Base store in North America is opening in late 2025, and there are plans for more locations in the future.
