Twitch streamer Quvonn ‘RaKai’ Linder explained that he received a ban after attempting a prank where he tried to convince a woman to leave Walmart with flowers she hadn’t paid for, but he claims the full situation is more complex than it appears.
RaKai is a quickly rising star online, and he’s still just 17 years old! He’s already gained a large following – over 1.8 million people – and regularly attracts thousands of viewers to his live streams.
He received a Twitch ban in December after a situation at a Walmart. He gave a woman flowers, told her he’d already paid for them, and seemingly encouraged her to leave the store without purchasing them, which led to accusations of illegal activity.
RaKai gave the flowers to her and then quickly ran off with a smile. He says this is what led to him being banned from the platform, but during a recent YouTube stream, he clarified that he wasn’t trying to cause trouble like it appeared.

RaKai claims his assistant prevented Walmart shopper from stealing flowers
Okay, so RaKai admitted he didn’t pay for the flowers, but he totally stopped her from walking out of the store with them before anyone noticed. He basically made sure she didn’t actually steal anything, even if he didn’t cover the cost himself.
He boasted about his good looks and personality, then recounted a story about telling his assistant to return some items he hadn’t purchased. He added that he didn’t reveal this incident during his live stream.
Linder acknowledged he understood Twitch’s decision to ban him, but strongly disagreed with the length of the two-year suspension, believing it was undeserved.
RaKai explains that a video of him giving flowers to a stranger at Walmart—flowers he didn’t pay for—led to him being banned from Twitch. He says he actually asked his assistant to ask the woman to return the flowers before she left the store.

The streamer initially thought he was banned until 2027, but he’s now learned that’s not true.
Following a post on X from TopMob, Twitch clarified the situation. The message stating a two-year suspension was incorrect – it was just a display error, not the real length of the ban.
Twitch stated that their teams are currently working on a fix, but their investigation shows the problem isn’t happening for most creators.
This was a one-time mistake. We’ve identified a glitch that caused incorrect suspension lengths to appear in one creator’s appeal portal. Our team is fixing it now, and we’ve confirmed that no other creators are affected.

The technical issue didn’t change RaKai’s official suspension notice. He received an email with the correct dates, and Twitch has confirmed this with him directly.
This is his sixth ban from Twitch. Back in June, the 17-year-old was suspended after broadcasting a livestream of himself driving and repeatedly checking his phone.
RaKai was recently banned, following a similar ban for Nina Lin. Both were penalized for stealing from Target – Lin admitted to taking steaks and shoes and even talked about it publicly.
