Cheaters in Rainbow Six Siege can expect a challenging experience, as Ubisoft Montreal has introduced a novel system that ejects cheaters from games immediately and swiftly imposes bans. Earlier, players faced a 15-day ban for their initial offense; however, the developers have announced that this practice is now a thing of the past.
During a live stream of a popular match on Rainbow Six Siege content creator JessGOAT’s Twitch channel, new anti-cheat measures were observed in action. In the video clip, a clear cheater was swiftly booted and banned. JessGOAT posted the video on X (previously known as Twitter), and the official Rainbow Six Siege account commented, “It seems you underestimated our commitment!

Ubisoft also shared more details about the game’s new anti-cheat efforts.
The developer announced that they’re enhancing their penalty systems for players found to be using bots, stating that from now on, a first botting offense will result in a permanent ban. Previously, this punishment was only applied after a player had been banned for 15 days and then again upon a second offense. This tougher approach is made feasible by an advanced detection system which significantly minimizes false positives.
Currently, any players found to be cheating by our systems will be immediately removed from their ongoing game and the match will be terminated automatically. In addition, as part of Y9S4.2, we’re releasing a fresh batch of strengthening and security enhancements, similar to those implemented in patches 4.0, 4.1, and 4.1.1. These updates have significantly affected the primary cheat providers in the past.
Previously, Ubisoft has taken legal action against creators of cheats for Rainbow Six Siege, and they’ve consistently prioritized addressing cheating issues. However, the recent update represents what might be their toughest stance yet on anti-cheat measures in the game.
