Nicole Kidman has been in the headlines lately due to her separation from Keith Urban. Now, the acclaimed actress is shifting the focus to a more positive note – the 30th anniversary of one of her popular movies, which is garnering attention within the film industry.
Thirty years ago, Nicole Kidman played a memorable role in the black comedy *To Die For*. The film features her as a woman desperately seeking television fame who manipulates a teenage fan into committing murder. It remains one of Kidman’s most iconic performances, and she was recently seen wearing a t-shirt featuring a still from the movie – and it still looks fantastic!

It takes guts to wear a shirt featuring your own face, but Nicole Kidman absolutely rocks it! She looks fantastic in this photo, and plenty of other celebrities – including Rachel Zegler, Kate Hudson, and Kerry Washington – have shared similar reactions online.
- Kate Hudson: I mean….my fav! ❤️🔥
- Rachel Zegler: Mommmmmmmyyyyyyy
- Kerry Washington: ICONIC.
- Kathryn Newton: Yes. 🙌
- Sony Pictures: Dare we say… that shirt is to die for 👄
As a big movie fan, I noticed Sony Pictures, the studio behind *To Die For*, chimed in on a recent post, which makes me think this whole thing might be a clever way to drum up excitement for the film’s 30th anniversary. And honestly, it’s working! The post is already getting tons of likes, and everyone – not just famous faces – is saying Nicole Kidman looks absolutely amazing.
Although the photo was taken around the time of her divorce announcement from Keith Urban, it feels like a step towards a fresh start. It’s reminiscent of the many casual t-shirt photos she used to share of her ex-husband when they were a couple.
Kidman celebrated the 30th anniversary of the film and also gave a shout-out to its director, Gus Van Sant, using a hashtag. Van Sant later directed *Good Will Hunting*, which earned him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Director.
As a big movie fan, I was thrilled to see the recognition To Die For received! Nicole Kidman absolutely blew me away as Suzanne Stone, and it was fantastic to see her win a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy – her very first! That performance also landed her a BAFTA nomination, which was so well-deserved. It really felt like a turning point in her career.
Nicole Kidman is set to reprise her famous role in a sequel to the 1998 film, *Practical Magic*. The original movie will reach its 30-year anniversary in a few years.
Seeing this picture makes me want to rewatch *To Die For*. It’s been a long time – almost 30 years – since I last saw it. The movie isn’t currently on major streaming services, but you can rent it for a small fee if you’re interested.
