Quvenzhané Wallis has signed with Gersh for representation in all areas.
In 2013, Quvenzhané Wallis received a Best Actress nomination at the Academy Awards for her remarkable performance as Hushpuppy in the critically acclaimed film “Beasts of the Southern Wild.” At just nine years old, she holds the record as the youngest actor ever nominated in that category.
In addition, Wallis was nominated for a Golden Globe after portraying the main character in the 2014 reprise of the musical film “Annie.” This time, he shared the screen with Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
Wallis has just completed her role as a main cast member on Apple TV’s “The Swagger,” and you can catch her in the series “Black-ish” and “American Horror Story.” She has also graced the screens of various feature films, such as “12 Years a Slave,” “Fathers and Daughters,” “Trolls,” “The Prophet,” and more recently, “Breathe,” alongside Jennifer Hudson.
In 2017, Wallis collaborated with Simon & Schuster on creating the children’s books “A Night Out With Mama” and “Shai & Emmie Star in Break an Egg.” These were successful enough to secure two additional book contracts for sequels.
In 2017, Wallis teamed up with Simon & Schuster to produce the children’s books titled “A Night Out With Mama” and “Shai & Emmie Star in Break an Egg.” This collaboration led to two more book deals for sequels.
In addition to Gersh, Wallis is additionally associated with the agencies Rebel Creative Group, Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Feldman, Rogal, Shikora & Clark.
The signing is a subsequent step after Gersh’s acquisition of the global sports and entertainment agency You First, and the acquisition of A3’s digital and alternative departments in January 2024. These acquisitions are part of an ongoing expansion strategy that the agency has been pursuing since it received equity investment from Crestview Partners in 2023. The acquisition of You First doubled the agency’s size, expanded its global presence to 14 countries, and solidified its position as a major player in international sports representation.
