Quentin Tarantino’s Best Movie Of The 21st Century Is Leaving Streaming Soon

The critically acclaimed film Inglourious Basterds, a 2009 dark comedy by Quentin Tarantino, is leaving its current streaming platform. The movie follows a group of Jewish-American soldiers during World War II as they devise a plan to kill high-ranking Nazi officials. Brad Pitt leads the cast, supported by Eli Roth, Christoph Waltz, and Diane Kruger.

When Inglourious Basterds came out, critics and audiences loved it. It received multiple Academy Award nominations, and Christoph Waltz won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The film is also highly rated by critics, with an 89% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and audiences generally enjoy it, giving it an 88% audience score.

Netflix has announced that Inglourious Basterds will be removed from its streaming service on November 30th. That means subscribers have just a few days left to watch the movie before it’s gone.

You can still rent the movie on Prime Video, and it will probably stay there even after the 30th. However, if no other streaming service decides to carry it, it won’t be available to watch anywhere online.

Many film fans consider Inglourious Basterds to be one of Quentin Tarantino’s greatest movies. It’s frequently mentioned as his best work from the 2000s, often compared to Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood.

This film proved to be a turning point in Christoph Waltz’s career, earning him his first Oscar nomination and ultimately, his first win. He later won the Best Supporting Actor award again for his work with Quentin Tarantino on the 2012 film, Django Unchained.

The film helped solidify Brad Pitt’s status as a leading actor, proving he could collaborate effectively with directors known for their unique vision, like Quentin Tarantino. Following a similar trajectory to Christoph Waltz, Pitt later reunited with Tarantino in 2019’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, a role for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Now that Inglourious Basterds is leaving Netflix, viewers who enjoy the film might not be able to watch it on the platform soon. It’s likely many people will start watching it over the next few days before it’s gone. Hopefully, another streaming service will add it to their library so fans can still enjoy it.

With Inglourious Basterds gaining renewed attention, viewers are getting excited for what Quentin Tarantino will do next. He’s currently writing a script for a film directed by David Fincher, called The Adventures of Cliff Booth, which will explore the history of Brad Pitt’s character from Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood. While Netflix subscribers might miss Tarantino’s work for a bit, they won’t have to wait long for his next project.
