QTCinderella tearfully lashes out at Streamer Awards backlash as Ludwig & MrBeast chime in

QTCinderella, who organized and hosted The Streamer Awards, became emotional while addressing criticism she received from viewers and other content creators. Soon after, her partner, Ludwig, and popular YouTuber MrBeast both spoke out in support of her.

The Streamer Awards is the year’s biggest event honoring content creators who stream online. It started in 2022, and QTCinderella has organized it every year since.

I’m super excited for the awards show on December 6th, 2025! They’ve got categories for everything – from the best speedrunners streaming to the best duos, and a ton of other stuff. We’ve been able to vote for our favorite streamers since early October to get them nominated, which is awesome!

Despite trying her best, QTCinderella, the event host, has received criticism from many sides. She’s faced negative reactions from both other streamers and viewers, which led to an emotional moment during a livestream.

QTCinderella tearfully addresses Streamer Awards backlash

During her live stream, QT responded to claims that some streamers were deliberately prevented from appearing in certain content categories. She explained that these individuals, referred to by a viewer as “problematic,” simply hadn’t been considered for those categories to begin with.

It’s a recurring joke that their viewers don’t participate. Every year, people complain about not being nominated, but then they don’t actively encourage nominations from their audience – they won’t promote it on their streams or social media, or even ask their followers to vote.

As criticism continued to pour in, QT became overwhelmed. The final thing that pushed her too far was when viewers started discussing drama between different streamers.

Essentially, the team needed to collect video clips of the nominees just one day before the announcement. Some of the clips they selected showed streamers who have clashed with each other in the past, which caused a lot of negative reactions online.

She explained she couldn’t get input from experts in every area, as that would reveal the nominees. She expressed frustration, saying, “I can’t risk messing this up, but honestly, is that really too much to ask?”

QT also clarified that she personally spoke with the streamer in question, and they weren’t upset. She insisted it was only viewers who were angry on his behalf.

Man, I was so frustrated, I just wanted to scream. I was giving it absolutely everything I had, but I was completely burnt out. Honestly, I was just tired of being upset and crying all the time.

QTCinderella responds to Deshae Frost’s comments

I was watching Deshae Frost’s stream when the Streamer Awards nominations were announced, and he just completely lost it when QTCinderella was talking! He actually yelled at her, telling her to “shut the f up.” It was pretty shocking to see live!

“How incredibly kind,” QT replied on X (formerly Twitter). “Congrats on his nomination.

I’ll do my best to stay quiet during the show, even though I funded the dinner and spent months organizing everything, so the streamers can enjoy their evening together.

In the end, QT decided against uninviting Frost, but she did share her frustration about the negative reactions she received from other content creators.

Man, I’m seriously baffled by how some people are treating me. I get that viewers can be rough sometimes, but getting flak from other creators? That really stings, honestly. It just feels awful.

That’s really thoughtful of you. Congratulations on the nomination! I’ll definitely keep quiet during the show – while everyone enjoys the dinner I covered and celebrates all the hard work that went into it, and while they have a good time together. I’ll make sure not to say a word.

Ludwig & MrBeast defend QTCinderella

Honestly, all the drama finally led to Ludwig, my partner QT’s boyfriend, speaking up. He jumped in to defend her Streamer Awards show – again! It’s been a rough ride, and he really wanted to make sure everyone understood why she puts so much effort into it.

I witness every year how much dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm QT puts into The Streamer Awards. And every year, she receives unfair criticism online from people who feel overlooked.

This reaction brought MrBeast into the conversation, and he pointed out that the issue was similar to problems experienced with past YouTube Rewind videos, describing it as a recurring issue.

People often assume the content creators they enjoy are popular with everyone, but the reality is that online video and other content is actually built around many different, dedicated fan communities.

We saw a similar issue with YouTube Rewind. People tend to believe the content they enjoy is universally popular, but online, there are actually many separate, large groups of fans. A creator who’s hugely popular in one country, like Mexico, might be completely unknown in another, like the United States.

Currently, plans for the 2025 event remain as scheduled. Despite recent criticism, Deshae Frost is still confirmed as a guest, and QT will continue to host.
