QTCinderella has responded to concerns that The Streamer Awards intentionally leaves out controversial creators, explaining that low viewership is the real reason some aren’t included, not any kind of ban.
QTCinderella addressed a viewer’s question about whether some creators were secretly excluded from this year’s nominations during a recent livestream. The viewer had asked if there was a hidden ban of certain individuals from consideration, and she responded directly to the claim.
Someone asked if people who cause trouble get intentionally left out of nominations, but that’s not it at all. It’s just that they’ve never been nominated in the first place. I think it comes down to their fanbase – if they don’t have a strong turnout, they’re not going to get the votes. Like, I really don’t see Jack Doherty’s fans consistently showing up to vote for him, honestly. They just don’t seem to participate enough.
Many creators often voice their frustration about not being recognized, but they don’t always ask their fans and followers to actually nominate them for awards or recognition.
QTCinderella says audiences “complain every year”
So, QTCinderella was explaining why some streamers who’ve caused trouble don’t get nominated for the Streamer Awards, and honestly, it makes total sense. She basically said it comes down to numbers – their viewers just don’t rally and vote like other streamers’ communities do. It’s a simple reason, but it’s effective – if your audience doesn’t show up to support you, it’s hard to win!

It’s a yearly pattern: people always express disappointment about not being nominated, but then often don’t actively promote the nominations themselves – they don’t mention it on their streams, tweet about it, or encourage their followers to vote.
They didn’t offer any help, but you really need to. Specifically, you need to log in with your Twitch account and complete the required information, which I know can be a problem if your viewers don’t have accounts. I’m not going to elaborate on the sensitive part of that issue.
She mentioned Jack Doherty, recently arrested in Florida, as an example, explaining that when nominations are low, it’s usually because people aren’t participating, not because the awards team is intentionally excluding anyone.
The Streamer Awards are happening on December 6th, and QTCinderella will be hosting live again this year.
