QTCinderella promises Streamer Awards changes as it’s gotten “much bigger” than before

Okay, so I just heard from QTCinderella that she’s completely shaking things up for The Streamer Awards in 2026. She said it’s going to be a ‘very hard pivot,’ which basically means she’s making some major changes. I’m super curious to see what she’s got planned!

As a streamer, The Streamer Awards is a huge deal for me! It’s the one event each year where we all get together to celebrate everything that’s happened in the streaming world – basically, a chance to look back on the whole year and recognize everyone’s hard work.

Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 was a big winner at this year’s awards, taking home four prizes. IShowSpeed was recognized as Streamer of the Year. The event wasn’t without its controversies, though. There was debate within the VTubing community over TheBurntPeanut’s win as VTuber of the Year, and India Love had to apologize for going on stage after the Breakout Streamer of the Year award was presented.

The show’s host, QTCinderella, has announced plans for a 2026 event, promising improvements over previous versions.

QTCinderella “learned so much” from 2025 Streamer Awards

QT shared during her December 8th stream that she’s had a year of significant learning and has developed many promising ideas for the future. She plans to make substantial changes and shift her focus in the coming year.

Look, I truly believe next year will be amazing. I’ve been working hard, and I honestly feel like I’ve finally found the key to making things better. Thanks for sticking with me so far. If I didn’t quite deliver this year, I promise you, next year will be different – I’m confident I’ve got a plan that’s going to work!

I had a sudden realization – I reminded myself that I wasn’t going to give up, and I’m confident next year will be amazing.

QT acknowledged that much of the criticism she’s gotten this year is fair, but she’s optimistic about making the 2026 show significantly improved.

She also pointed out that the show has grown significantly, and she needs to adapt her jokes and segments to fit the larger scale.

QT referenced a joke she made about Rakai’s recent ban, explaining that while the audience understood it, viewers watching at home might not have.

QTCinderella has addressed the feedback about the Streamer Awards, acknowledging it’s fair. She now realizes the event has grown beyond just the streaming community and is committed to making significant improvements for next year’s show.
