Twitch streamer QTCinderella faced criticism after saying she would issue copyright takedown notices to fans who re-posted recordings of her broadcasts.
After finishing a live stream, Twitch creators usually either leave the recording available on their channel or post it to YouTube. This lets viewers who couldn’t watch live still see the content.
Sometimes streams aren’t saved, so viewers will re-upload recordings instead. This can be a problem for streamers, particularly if the content is something they don’t want permanently available online.
On October 26th, QTCinderella warned fans against re-uploading her past streams, saying she would take legal action against anyone who did. She stated she’d send a cease and desist letter, or even sue them directly, if they were identified, and wasn’t hesitant to follow through with it.
Way to take shit out of context moron. Talking about songs getting leaked

QTCinderella claims VOD sue threats were over songs
I saw the streamer get a ton of flak for what she said, and people were really upset, saying she’d be throwing money away if she went through with it. It was a pretty harsh reaction, honestly.
On October 27th, QT responded to the criticism she received. She explained that she usually removes videos of her singing streams because she’s self-conscious about her voice. She had performed some unreleased songs, and people threatened to upload them online, which made her anxious and caused her to react harshly.
I was just focused on getting my music out there, but I realize people are interpreting it as me trying to silence anyone who shared our conversation. That’s not true. I haven’t requested any takedown notices, and even if someone were to upload my music now, I probably wouldn’t do anything about it.
QTCinderella has expressed regret over her comments regarding a cease and desist notice. She explained that after a singing stream – which she typically deletes due to embarrassment – people threatened to upload some unreleased music she had performed. This put her on edge, and she reacted poorly.

QT said she wasn’t bothered by people sharing dramatic moments from her stream, but she was upset about her music being leaked.
Many fans pointed out that some video clips of her threat were misleading because they didn’t include the full context of what she said.
