Kuro Games has launched Punishing: Gray Raven on Steam. The game, which is free to play, has been available on mobile devices since 2021 and had a PC client released last May. This new Steam version makes it simpler for Steam users to install and play.
Keep in mind that the server you connect to in Punishing: Gray Raven through the Steam client will be based on your Steam account’s region and language settings. The game does let you save and sync your progress across different devices, but if you already have an account on another platform, you’ll need to use the same server region to access it.
Below you’ll find the official screenshots from Steam, as well as a transcript of the Q&A. The Steam version of Punishing: Gray Raven offers full Japanese and English voiceovers, and includes Korean and Traditional Chinese subtitles.

Q: How can I find Punishing: Gray Raven on Steam?
Punishing: Gray Raven is coming to Steam soon! Here’s how you can add it to your wishlist now:
Visit the store link below https://store.steampowered.com/app/4125930/Punishing_Gray_Raven/
Search for “Punishing: Gray Raven” in the Steam store.
Global: Punishing: Gray Raven
Traditional Chinese: 戰雙帕彌什
Japanese: パニシング:グレイレイヴン
Korean: 퍼니싱: 그레이 레이븐
Q: Does the Punishing: Gray Raven Steam version also have separate regional game versions based on language, similar to its server and client distinctions?
Just like the mobile version, the Steam version of Punishing: Gray Raven will have different servers based on language. The game you download from Steam will be selected automatically depending on your Steam account’s region and preferred language.
Before you download the game, make sure your Steam account’s region and language settings are set to match the game version you want.
To download the Japanese version of the game, make sure your Steam account is set to download content from Japan and is displaying Japanese as the language. This will also change the Steam store page to Japanese.
Q: Is the Steam version interoperable with other platforms? Can I log in with my existing account and sync my game progress?
Okay, so good news for anyone playing Punishing: Gray Raven! If you’re switching to Steam, you can use the same account you’ve been playing on. All your characters and progress will carry over as long as you’re on the same server. It’s awesome that they’re letting us sync accounts across platforms – no need to start over!
If you’re an existing Punishing: Gray Raven player, you can sign in with the same account details after downloading the version of the game for your preferred language.
Q: Will the game version and events in the Steam version be consistent with those on other platforms?
Yes, you can expect things to work as intended. Keep an eye on in-game news and our social media channels for more information.
Q: What are the similarities and differences between the Steam version and the PC version?
A:
When logging in, the Steam version of the game works with all the original PC login options and now also lets you log in using your Steam account.
Buying in-game currency on Steam works a little differently than on the PC. Instead of processing payments directly, all purchases go through the Steam platform. However, the price levels for different amounts of currency are the same whether you’re playing on Steam or the PC.
Your Steam account information automatically stays updated across all platforms – PC and mobile – so you can play seamlessly wherever you are.
The Steam store page for Punishing: Gray Raven lets you connect with other players from different servers through its community features.
Q: Will there be performance optimizations for the Steam version upon release?
We’re continuing to improve the PC and Steam versions of the game, focusing on things like how controls work, controller compatibility, and how well the game runs graphically. Players can expect more updates in the future.
Q: Why do the official website and social media links displayed on the Steam store page lead to the English versions?
What you see and can download on a store page changes based on the region and language you’ve selected in your Steam settings.
As a fan, I just learned something a bit frustrating! It turns out Steam’s setup means that no matter where you are in the world, any links to our official website, social media pages (like X, Facebook, YouTube, Discord, and Reddit), or even the player forums, will always take you to the English versions of those sites. It’s a Steam limitation, apparently.
