Last month saw the release of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, bringing Sega’s famous characters to the world of racing. Now, Sega is collaborating with Puma on a special, limited-edition collection of sneakers and clothing, all inspired by the game.
Sega and Puma have just released the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds collection, featuring special trainers for Sonic, Tails, and Shadow, each designed with their iconic colors. Puma explains that the trainers combine “motorsport styling with graphic cues inspired by racing and design elements from Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.”
Beyond the sneakers, the collection features a jacket, T-shirts, a hoodie, and more.
Through this partnership, players will be able to use Puma designs as free decals on their vehicles in Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. Puma will be launching the related sneakers and clothing on their website, in their stores, and through other retailers on October 30th.
Puma has ventured into gaming and fashion before. They’ve already created Animal Crossing sneakers and designed virtual outfits for the popular soccer game, Rematch. Just recently, Nike released sneakers based on GoldenEye 007, and they sold out very quickly. This shows a growing trend of collaborations between sportswear brands and the gaming world. It’s clear Puma is continuing this trend.
Okay, so there aren’t any new Sonic games coming out super soon, which is a bummer. But, here’s some cool news: Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is getting DLC in early 2026, and it’s adding Dr. Eggman as a boss! I’m really excited about that fight. They’re also adding two *other* boss battles, but Sega is keeping those a secret for now. Hopefully, they’ll reveal who those are soon!
