Yet, what truly piques my interest isn’t just the visually stunning footage, but the revelation of the game’s official launch date – April 24, 2025. Although the developers have hinted at a spring release this year, this specific date is a significant milestone that has me counting down the days!

In the Xbox Developer Direct trailer, there are numerous scenes of characters engaging in intense battles against formidable foes – Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will feature a strategic combat system that blends aspects from real-time action games. This means that defending or attacking will happen instantaneously and rely on the player’s quick reactions.
Additionally, the developers presented us with Monoco, a new acquaintance you may find amiable (located below). Monaco is a Gestral entity capable of communicating in human tongues and harboring an affinity for intense combat situations. Rest assured, Monoco will also be there to aid us.
Presale of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
In light of announcing the specific launch date for “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33”, they’ve started the pre-purchase phase. The game will come in two different versions when it becomes available.
- The standard edition costs $44.99 on Steam and Microsoft Store. On the PS Store, you can buy the game for $49.99.
- The Deluxe Edition will additionally offer a collection of outfits and hairstyles for playable characters. On Steam and the Microsoft Store, it costs $53.99, while on the PS Store, it’s $59.99.
