Predator: Badlands Limited Edition 4K Steelbook Up For Preorder

You can now preorder the physical copy of Predator: Badlands at stores like Amazon and Walmart! While most big movies offer Blu-ray preorders around the time they hit theaters, it took a couple of months for this one to become available. This is great news for fans of the Predator series who want to add it to their collections. The movie will be released on 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD on February 17. A special Predator: Badlands Limited Edition Steelbook is available for preorder on Amazon for $45.

The new Predator film, Badlands, features Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as Dek and Elle Fanning in a dual role as twin sisters, Thia and Tessa. Thia is an artificial human created by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation who lost her legs in combat. She breaks free from her intended purpose and joins forces with Dek, who designs a special backpack wheelchair to help her move during their dangerous pursuit. This unusual pairing results in creative and exciting action scenes. Tessa, on the other hand, serves as the main villain. Elle Fanning delivers a compelling performance as both sisters, and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi is excellent as the latest incarnation of the Predator.

Predator: Badlands is set over 300 years in the future, making it a standalone story that doesn’t require you to have seen any previous Predator or Alien films. While newcomers can easily enjoy it, longtime fans will likely notice connections and hidden references. For example, two of the characters played by Elle Fanning were created by the same corporation that appears as the villain in the Alien movies.

Predator Movies & Blu-ray Box Sets

The Predator series now includes seven films, with two scheduled to come out in 2025. Before the movie Badlands hits theaters, the first animated Predator film, Predator: Killer of Killers, premiered on Hulu. This animated film was also directed by the same director as Badlands, but it’s currently only available for streaming and hasn’t been released on DVD or Blu-ray.

You can now find all six Predator movies on 4K Blu-ray at a great price! Amazon has the Predator 4-Film Collection for $39.42, down from $55. This set includes the original 1987 film, Predator 2 (1990), Predators (2010), and The Predator (2018). A 1080p Blu-ray version is available for $30, and the DVD is just $15. Plus, you can complete your collection with Prey on 4K Blu-ray for only $24.68 (originally $45). Released in 2022, Prey was also directed by the same director.

Unfortunately, the Alien vs. Predator movies haven’t been updated with 4K quality, but there’s good news: you can get the Alien vs. Predator Double Feature: Unrated Edition on Blu-ray for just $15, or on DVD for only $8.

There are seven movies in the Alien series, not counting the two crossover films. While only five are currently available on 4K Blu-ray, you can get all seven with the Alien 6-Film Collection on standard Blu-ray for just $25 (originally $50). To finish your collection, add Alien: Romulus on Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray – Amazon has a limited edition Steelbook for $37.50. For those interested in 4K, the original 1979 Alien movie is a great deal at only $13 (down from $27). The 1986 sequel, Aliens, is also available on 4K Blu-ray. The Aliens: Ultimate Collector’s Edition is often out of stock, but it’s currently available on Amazon for $26.70 (reduced from $40).
