In a climactic showdown, Dek and Bud team up to save Thia, which sparks a fight with Tessa. Despite their valiant efforts, Tessa is consumed by the monster Kalisk. To defeat Kalisk, she activates Dek’s shoulder cannon, obliterating the creature from the inside. Dek and Bud quickly subdue Tessa, with Bud brutally severing her head and spine. He then confronts his father, using Yautja technology to restrain him. Instead of killing his father himself, Dek asks Bud to finish the job. After his father is gone, Dek takes a cloak and returns to his clan. When Thia asks about his future plans, Dek implies that his journey isn’t finished.
