PowerWash Simulator 2 comes out on October 23rd, and will be supported with both paid and free downloadable content, similar to the original game. The developers at FuturLab plan to spend the rest of 2025 improving the game with bug fixes, performance upgrades, and general enhancements, with new content arriving throughout 2026.
FuturLab plans to release three downloadable content packs that you’ll need to purchase, and three free job packs, as part of the Caldera Chronicles for PowerWash Simulator 2. They’re also working on bug fixes, new cosmetic items, and community events for the game.
Here’s a look at our plans for PowerWash Simulator 2! 🎉 Over the next couple of years (2025-2026), we’re planning to release three paid DLC packs based on popular franchises, plus three free story chapters called ‘Caldera Chronicles’. We also have lots of other cool features in the works! For the remainder of 2025, our main focus will be on improving performance, fixing bugs, and making the game even more enjoyable.

The original PowerWash Simulator surprised everyone with its downloadable content. Players weren’t just cleaning streets – they could visit Lara Croft’s mansion (thanks to a Tomb Raider tie-in), tidy up the city of Midgar from Final Fantasy 7, and even wash away the grime in Bikini Bottom with SpongeBob SquarePants. The game also featured collaborations with Wallace & Gromit, Warhammer 40,000, Shrek, and Back to the Future, letting players clean up iconic locations from those universes.

While the new downloadable content didn’t include famous characters like Doc Brown or Cloud Strife, players were able to restore and interact with recognizable items and places, such as the DeLorean time machine and equipment from the Imperium. FuturLab hasn’t announced their next collaboration, and they’ve mentioned that the content is subject to change based on what players think and how development progresses.
PowerWash Simulator 2 will be released on Xbox and PC Game Pass, as well as PlayStation 5.
